Promotion,Demonstration and Development of Sustainable Environmental Technologies for SMEs, ProdestS Print
SME portal to European Funding in the area of environmental technologies.
PRODESTS is a Co-ordination action within the 6th Framework Program and wants to set up a market-oriented methodology to stimulate SMEs within Integrated EU research Projects on Innovative Clean and Environmental Technologies.

The PRODESTS project consortium consists of 27 partners from 16 European countries.

WHAT DOES PRODESTS AIM FOR?

The overall aim of this proposed Co-ordination action is to stimulate technology development by European environmental SMEs and technology demonstration at SME users to increase their commitment in future related Integrated Projects within FP6.

PRODESTS takes aim

  • to be a knowledge platform where real SME needs and research capabilities meet;
  • to stimulate environmental and clean technology development and demonstration at SME level;
  • to increase SME participation in European innovation and research projects
  • to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement of environmental and clean technologies:
  • top-down: starting from existing technology gaps, legislation, BAT..
  • bottom-up: starting from new market potentials and needs

TARGET SECTORS:

  • textile
  • tannery
  • metal (including surface treatment)
  • chemical (pharmaceuticals, plastics)
  • paper
  • foundries
  • production companies (mechanical)
  • ceramics (building materials)
  • food
  • environmental technology suppliers

BENEFITS FOR SMEs

  • Bring in EC funding; 
  • Be part of a European network with possibilities for knowledge transfer; 
  • Find new ways to innovate with complementary partners in larger projects than they can do on their own;
