The University of Latvia is historically the most important centre of education, science and culture in the country. FacultiesIn the University there are more than 28 000 students, and the work is organized in 13 faculties. More than 1000 lecturers and 130 professors provide qualitative acquiring of 57 programs of basic studies, 69 programs of the highest level and 22 programs of doctor studies.
